They deny all claims no matter how serious your condition is and no matter how any doctors determine you are disabled. Only one thing matters to Lincoln Financial...MONEY. They are heartless and soulless. I urge anyone who has a disability claim with Lincoln Financial to hire a disability attorney or Lincoln will attempt to destroy you.

I wouldnt even give one star...my experience from the start has been a total nightmare. I have more medical issues then I had when I started because both my std and ltd adjusters have stressed my anxiety to a critical level...and nobody cares. Worst experience in my life run fast...AFLAC is 10x better than this company!!!!

I took out a whole life insurance policy when I was 19. I am almost 60 now. I made the payments and have a sizable nest egg. Unfortunately, life threw some curve balls, and I needed to access the loan part of my policy. I called Lincoln Financial and was told there was 5 day turn around for disbursement once they received loan paperwork. I called after it was emailed AND faxed. They said it was received and would receive funds within 5 days. That didn't happen. I continued to call and was told then it would be 7 days. Ok.... That didn't happen. At day 10, I called and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told they wouldn't transfer me to one but would give him a message to call me. Mr. Christopher Link, Lead Supervisor, never called back. I continued to call daily and was just brushed off by customer service. Of course, they don't give out direct numbers. Tomorrow.... then another tomorrow....then another tomorrow it will disburse. Then when calling, I just got patronized and told they were working on it. It is day 14 now. I checked the Better Business website shows they are not a member and have similar scenarios that I am experiencing. My impression of this company is that they lack integrity. I am now going to be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Life insurance is supposed to create a peace of mind. I can see Lincoln Financial Group will make it as difficult as possible when you need them the most. All I can do now is make people aware and contact other agencies to assist. It's been a very disheartening experience. UPDATE: Christopher Link finally did contact me. I also spoke with another supervisor, Rob, who was very helpful. My funds were received after 17 days vs. 5 days as originally promised. Thank you Lincoln Financial for doing the right thing and finally releasing my funds. I have withdrawn the complaint from the Better Business Bureau.

This is by far the worst Short-Term/Long-Term Disability Insurance Group. It should be Zero Stars From the beginning between requesting medical records for them from multiple providers, and being referred to multiple LFG reps with no responses, not answering and and waiting on benefits for loss of wages after a life changing event. Then, after 6 months, being asked to contact Social Security to request Disability benefits so they could offset payouts that were sent to me and they would get my Disability Benefits to offset what they paid me and I wouldn't get any more payouts or Disability as payment would go directly to them. Such a bad company to do business with. The worst trap to get you to pay monthly benefits thinking they will cover you when you need those benefits. This company should be ashamed of their fish and bait tactics for the hard working employees. My benefits ended while still being disabled, jobless and in recovery and they had the audacity to send a third party to collect back what they paid me even thought I paid out of pocket for Short-Term & Long-Term benefits for almost five years in case something would happen. This company should not be selling any insurance policies as they are only looking out for their own pockets and generating multiple policies from getting business from companies and do not pay out what is rightfully owed to those who pay their monthly benefit for short-term/long-term policies. There should be a Law Firm to look into this and have Lincoln Financial Group pay out to those who are victims of these types of insurance businesses. What a stressful situation and this has caused a great deal of stress on top of what I have to deal with to recover from my life changing accident.

I would give them negative stars if I could. WORST customer service! DIFFICULT to work with. Perhaps some of the most absurd processes I have ever seen. Would not trust this company if I died and needed my dependent to get a payout! HORRENDOUS SERVICE IN TOTAL, INCLUDING THE BROKER I USED TO GET THE POLICY.

Absolutely the worst of the worst company to deal with. They are now claiming my claim is a fraud. Asking for more paperwork and more info I feel they are invading my privacy. This company is a total disgrace!!! I'd give them a zero if that was an option.

I can't even get my case manager to calm me back. They said 2-3 business days. It's been 5 and they just contacted my doctor today. I'm having urgent surgery and im supposed to hope they send me my money but they won't even call me back. 48 hours for a Manger to call. Do t do business with thus horrid company when you need them they will not be around.

Giving 1 star because 0 is not an option. This company is a complete joke and it's astonishing that they've been able to aquire/merge with enough smaller companies to be a fortune 200 company. Their whole "code" they have listed on their site is laughable to say the least. As if it's not bad enough that they let their senior advisors call in and threaten client service reps when the rep refuses to engage in actions that blatantly go against policy just to save face when the advisor drops the ball, HR will follow through with the advisors threats and actually fire the reps. That's just insight for anyone considering to work there. Now, anyone considering purchasing a policy from them, I would ask that you do some research on the class settlement that is just now being settled for when they went and increased customers cost of insurance from 2016-2017 and didn't make any efforts to give that money back once they were caught. You read that right, they instead sent these customers a letter stating they will automatically be a part of the settlement and give up any right to take legal action themselves and have only been given $200 each. Now, I can't speak for every single customer but I can say that there are A LOT who had far more than $200 STOLEN from them during those 2 years. Do yourself a favor and find a company with some morals.
