If you can't activate your prepaid card, start by contacting the card issuer to confirm their activation process. Then, ensure you're entering the correct card number, expiration date, and any other required details, such as the CVV or PIN.
Keep in mind that many prepaid cards require registration with personal information, including your name, address, and SSN (or equivalent), before activation. If the issuer cannot verify your identity, they may block activation or restrict usage to the initial balance only.
If the issue persists, contact the card issuer's customer service, explain the problem, and provide all relevant details, such as the purchase location and any error messages.
You can check the best prepaid debit cards available to ensure that whatever decision you make really fits your goals.
