Yes, Bank of America does charge for ACH transfers. While receiving ACH transfers is usually free, sending them can incur fees depending on the speed of the transfer.
For personal accounts, there are no fees on standard ACH transfers taking three business days to complete, or Next-Business-Day transfers to individuals or vendors. However, Same-Business-Day domestic transfers within the U.S. cost $30.
