You can change the airline for your Platinum Card® annual airline credit either online or over the phone at (800) 528-4800. To change the airline online, log in to your Platinum Card® account and click on "Benefits." Then, scroll to "Airline Fee Credit" and click "Learn More" to pick a replacement from among the 8 qualifying airlines.
It is worth noting that the Platinum Card® airline credit offers you up to $200 in fees from one airline every year. You can select one qualifying airline any time after being approved for the card. However, you can only change to another airline once a year, in January. Cardholders who don’t change airlines by the end of January will stay with their current airline choice for the remainder of the year.
Airlines Eligible for the Platinum Card® Credit:
- Alaska Airlines
- American Airlines
- Delta Airlines
- Hawaiian Airlines
- JetBlue Airways
- Spirit Airlines
- Southwest Airlines
- United Airlines
Incidental fees from the chosen airline must be charged to your Platinum Card® for the credit to apply, and they must be separate charges from the price of an airline ticket. Airfare, ticket upgrades, gift cards, and point transfer fees are among the charges that do not count toward the annual airline credit.
Incidentals Fees Eligible for the Platinum Card® Credit:
- Baggage fees
- Airport lounge day passes
- Airport lounge memberships
- Pet fees
It is also important to note that unused credits will not roll over to the next year.
