No, credit card authorized users generally do not receive a separate monthly statement; only the primary cardholder does. That’s because authorized users aren’t responsible for making bill payments. That obligation exclusively falls on the shoulders of primary cardholders.
However, some issuers may itemize the spending made by authorized users within the monthly statement, allowing the cardholder to discern which charges were made by each person. If you want to find out whether your credit card’s issuer offers this option, call the number you see on the back of your card.
What Credit Card Authorized Users Get
An authorized user can get their own credit card with their name on it. This way, authorized users gain the ability to make purchases without assuming payment liability or having to qualify for their own cards.
Generally, authorized users may earn rewards, make payments, and report lost or stolen cards. But they cannot redeem rewards (unless the primary cardholder allows it), request credit limit increases, or close the account.
