The Amex Blue Cash Everyday has no disclosed minimum income requirement. However, as with any credit card, you will need to have sufficient income to afford payments. When applying, your total annual income may include wages, retirement income, rental properties and other personal income you can rely upon.
The Amex Blue Cash Everyday typically requires good credit or better for approval. If you don't know where you stand, you can check your credit score for free, right here on WalletHub. Other factors, such as credit history, existing debts and your general ability to make credit card payments will also be taken into consideration.
You can also check for pre-qualification on Amex’s dedicated web page. Checking for pre-qualification does not hurt your credit score, as it is only based on a soft inquiry on your credit report. Similarly, when you apply for the Amex Blue Cash Everyday card, a soft inquiry will be made on your credit report and you will be told with certainty if you are approved. However, if you are approved and choose to get the card, you will need to submit an actual application which might result in a hard pull. A hard pull may impact your credit score.*
*This application experience is currently available for individuals applying for a U.S. personal card via WalletHub, on the American Express site, or by calling American Express and is not available if you apply for a card after you log into an existing Card Member Account.
