Blue Cash Everyday travel insurance offers both car rental insurance and a 24/7 Global Assist Hotline that provides specific emergency services when traveling more than 100 miles from home. Blue Cash Everyday no longer has travel accident insurance, as American Express dropped the benefit from most of its cards in January 2020.
Amex Blue Cash Everyday rental car insurance covers eligible vehicles up to $50,000 for up to 30 consecutive days against damages resulting from theft or collision. For coverage to apply, you must charge the entire rental to your Amex Blue Cash Everyday card and decline the rental car agency’s car rental insurance. The card provides secondary coverage and does not include liability coverage. Please keep in mind that not all vehicle types or rentals are covered and geographic restrictions also apply. The Global Assist Hotline (1-800-333-2639) offers services such as legal and medical referrals, passport replacement and lost luggage assistance at no cost. However, you are responsible for charges from any third-party service providers.
