The Capital One Venture X exchange rate is Visa’s exchange rate on the date you make an international purchase. Visa exchange rates change on a daily basis, and they update these rates each day on their website.
Capital One Venture X does not charge foreign transaction fees, unlike most other cards. This means the Capital One Venture X will save cardholders 1.58% on purchases made abroad and through international merchants, compared to the average credit card offer.
As long as you pay with a no foreign transaction fee card and avoid dynamic currency conversion, you’ll save money on international spending with a credit card compared to using cash. You should also keep in mind that if you make a foreign transaction using your checking account, debit card, or prepaid card, the exchange rates are the same as those used for credit cards.
