The average credit card activation time limit is typically between 45 and 60 days. However, not all issuers disclose this information, so it’s best to activate your credit card as soon as possible. If you don’t activate your credit card in time, the issuer may close your account automatically.
Nevertheless, your card will appear on your credit report even if you don't activate it. That won't drastically affect your credit score. But it will impact your credit utilization ration ratio, even if you never activate the card.
