A credit score of 640 or higher is needed to get a Comenity Bank credit card in most cases. That means you need at least fair credit to get approved. However, there are some Comenity credit cards that require a credit score of 700 or better (good credit).
It is important to know where you stand before applying for a Comenity credit card. You can check your credit score for free, right here on WalletHub.
What you should know about Comenity Bank credit cards:
Comenity credit cards are known for being easy to get. Most Comenity Bank credit cards are store cards, meaning you can only use them at whatever retailer they’re tied to. On the plus side, most of these cards only require fair credit for approval.
However, there are some exceptions. For instance, Comenity Bank also offers open loop cards, which can be used anywhere Visa and Mastercard are accepted. They require at least good credit.

Incorrect: If you have a credit score 640 or higher you'll get a higher credit limit with comenity bank card. But, they do give approvals on some stores with a credit score as low as 540+ and it all depends on whats on your credit. Haband, game stop, catherines, lane bryant and more I know for a fact that a low score can get you approved & again it depends on what's on your credit.
