The biggest disadvantage of the Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite Mastercard® is that it charges a high annual fee, at $595. Therefore, it’s not a great option for people who use their card infrequently or are tight on money. There are a few other disadvantages of the Citi AAdvantage Executive Card to be aware of, too.
Citi AAdvantage Executive Card Disadvantages
- Annual fee: The annual fee is $595.
- Requires high credit scores: The Citi AAdvantage Executive Card requires good credit for approval.
- No 0% intro APR on purchases: The Citi AAdvantage Executive Card does not currently offer a 0% intro APR promotion on purchases, so it is not good for people looking to finance big purchases.
- No 0% intro balance transfer APR: There is no promotional 0% intro APR on balance transfers.
In addition, there are plenty of other disadvantages applicable to all or most credit cards. Some examples are the hard credit pull that usually happens when you apply, interest charged on balances that are carried from month to month, and the potential to overspend.
