The Discover it® Miles foreign transaction fee is 0%. This means there are 0% extra charges when using the card for international purchases, either in person or online. Credit card foreign transaction fees generally range from 0% to 3%, depending on the card and issuer. Discover does not have foreign transaction fees on any of its credit cards.
In addition to a 0% foreign transaction fee, the Discover it Miles card comes with even more features. There’s a $0 annual fee. Discover it Miles also offers 1.5 miles per $1 spent on all purchases. Miles also benefit from a straightforward conversion rate. And you can redeem them for travel purchases such as airfare and hotel stays. You can also redeem your miles for cash, Amazon purchases or you can use them to pay with PayPal.
Just bear in mind that Discover cards aren’t as widely accepted internationally as Visa or Mastercard. You can check your Discover card’s international acceptance on Discover’s website, prior to traveling.
