There can be many reasons why your Elan Financial Services credit card application was denied. Some of them include not meeting the credit score requirements, or not having enough income to support the new line of credit.
Reasons Why Your Elan Financial Credit Card Application May Have Been Denied
- You didn’t meet the credit score requirements
- You didn’t have enough income
- You had too much debt relative to your income
- There was a delinquency or error on your credit report
- There was a freeze on your credit report
Fortunately, credit card issuers are required to disclose the reason why an application was rejected. So, if you were denied for an Elan Financial credit card, you should receive a letter in the mail explaining why.
If your financial situation changed for the better since you first applied, or if an honest mistake on the application led to your original rejection, you should ask Elan Financial for a reconsideration. If they don’t change their decision about your application, consider becoming an authorized user on someone else’s account, or apply for a secured credit card.
