The easiest way you can unlock your Capital One credit card by logging in to your online account or using the Capital One mobile app for iOS and Android. Alternatively, you can unlock your credit card by calling customer service at the number listed on their website.
Here's how you can unlock your Capital One credit card:
- Online: Log in to your Capital One online account and select the card you’d like to unlock. Then, scroll down to the “Need Help?” section. You should see the option to unlock there.
- Mobile app: To unlock your Capital One credit card through the mobile app, scroll down to the “Credit Card Help” section and tap “Unlock Card.” Lastly, tap on “Yes, turn it on.”
- Phone: Call Capital One customer service. You will be able to talk to a live representative and ask them to unlock your credit card.
You will be able to use your Capital One credit card immediately after you unlock it and the "card locked" message will no longer be displayed to your card summary screen.
Keep in mind, though, that if you locked your card by choosing the option "lost/stolen card," your card number could have been changed. If that happened, you'll see a different last four digits of the card when you sign in online.
