No, the Apple Card isn’t being canceled right now. There are, however, ongoing rumors that Goldman Sachs and Apple are looking to end their agreement early. This goes back to late 2023, when Apple reportedly proposed to Goldman Sachs that they should terminate their agreement within the next 12 to 15 months. Then in 2024, things heated up again after Goldman faced regulatory scrutiny and fines tied to issues in its credit-card division.
However, even if Goldman steps away, that doesn’t automatically mean the Apple Card is going away too. From what’s been reported, Apple has been looking for another bank to take over the program. Some sources have mentioned JPMorgan Chase as a possible contender, but nothing has been confirmed and neither Apple nor Goldman Sachs has made any official statements about what’s next.
So, if you're interested in getting a Apple Card, you can still apply online. Until there's an official announcement, there's no reason to worry or let the rumors stop you from getting the card.
