The Navy Federal Flagship Rewards is a card for people with ties to the armed forces with lower fees and bigger ongoing rewards compared to Capital One Venture.
The Navy Federal Flagship Rewards card offers:
- 35,000 points after spending $3,500 within 90 days
- 3 points per $1 spent on travel
- 2 points per $1 spent on everything else
- No rewards limit or expiration
- Up to $100 statement credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck
- 14.99% - 18% (V) regular APR
- $0 foreign transaction fee
- $0 balance transfer fee
- $49 annual fee
On the other hand, the Capital One Venture offers:
- 75,000 miles for spending $4,000 on purchases within 3 months from account opening
- 2X miles per $1 spent on every purchase
- No rewards limit or expiration
- Up to $120 statement credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck
- 19.49% - 28.49% (V) regular APR
- $0 foreign transaction fee
- $0 at the Transfer APR, 4% of each transferred balance at a promo APR that Capital One may offer balance transfer fee
- $95 annual fee
Another difference is that while Flagship's rewards come in points, the Venture offers miles.
Both cards are great for rewards, but if you have a Navy Federal membership, I'd suggest going with the Flagship.
