You can add an authorized user to your Target Credit Card either online or over the phone at 1 (800) 424-6888. Just note that the age requirement for authorized users is 16 years old and you can add up to 5 authorized users on your account.
How to Add a Target Credit Card Authorized User Online
- Log in to your Target Credit Card account.
- Click “Add Cardholder” under the “Settings & Help” menu.
- Enter the user’s name, date of birth, phone number, and address.
- Click “Submit”.
When you add a Target Credit Card authorized user, they will receive their own credit card. The card will be sent to your mailing address within 7-10 business days of being added to the account. The authorized user’s credit card will be linked to your account and will have full access to the account’s credit limit.
In addition, any purchases an authorized user makes on the account will appear on your statement. Keep in mind that you, as the primary cardholder, are responsible for all transactions on the account. Ultimately, the Target Credit Card reports account information to all three major credit bureaus, which affects not only the authorized user's credit history but also yours.
