The United Explorer Card trip cancellation insurance reimburses cardholders in the event of canceled or interrupted trips due to sickness, severe weather, and other unforeseen circumstances. The insurance covers up to $1,500 per person and a maximum of $6,000 per trip. To get coverage, you have to pay for the trip with your United Explorer Card.
To file a claim, call the Benefit Administrator at (888) 880-5844. Based on the information given to your benefit administrator, you will be sent the relevant claim forms that you’ll have to complete and return.
