The Wells Fargo credit card travel insurance benefits include travel and emergency assistance services, rental car insurance, and roadside assistance. To be eligible for rental car insurance, you need to pay for your rental with an eligible Wells Fargo card.
Wells Fargo Credit Card Travel Insurance Benefits
- Travel and emergency assistance: If you need assistance before or during a trip, services are available 24/7 for emergency travel arrangements, travel issues, medical and legal referrals, and much more.
- Rental car insurance: Covers you for damage resulting from accidents or theft up to $50,000 or the cash value of the car – whichever is less. The rental period must not be longer than 15 days in the United States or 31 days abroad. Also, you must pay with your eligible card and decline the rental company’s collision loss/damage insurance to be eligible. Coverage is secondary for domestic rentals and primary for international ones.
- Roadside assistance: Call the 24/7 hotline for services such as towing (up to five miles), tire changes, jump starts, fuel delivery, and lockout assistance (no key replacement). There’s a flat fee each time you use this service.
While these travel insurance benefits aren’t bad, Wells Fargo credit cards don’t have as many benefits as a lot of the other credit cards on the market. So, make sure to check out other credit cards with travel insurance to weigh your options.
