Wells Fargo does not offer purchase protection on its credit cards, though this doesn't make them much different from many other card issuers. At this point, only 5 of the 10 largest credit card issuers still offer purchase protection on at least one of their credit cards.
Although Wells Fargo credit cards don't have purchase protection, applying for one could still make a lot of sense in the right situation – particularly if the rates, rewards, fees, and approval requirements match up well with your financial profile.
If you’re in the market for a good credit card with purchase protection, you should check out the Chase Sapphire Reserve and the Chase Sapphire Preferred. Both credit cards have purchase protection coverage, according to the most recent WalletHub purchase protection study.
