The VRBO credit card fee, also referred to as the 3% payment processing fee, is applied to the total payment amount you receive from your guest, which includes taxes and refundable damage deposits. If you’re on a pay-per-booking plan, you’ll also be charged a 5% commission fee in addition to the credit card fee.
You can avoid this 3% processing fee by using a property management software. While this eliminates the credit card fee, using a management software may introduce other booking-related fees, depending on how the reservation is made.
You can learn more about the VRBO fees and how they apply by visiting VRBO’s website, or by calling customer service at (877) 202-4291.
