You can find the security code on the back of your credit card if your card is on the Visa, Mastercard, or Discover network. If you have an American Express card, you can find the security code on the front of the card, just above the card number. Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards all have a 3-digit security code, whereas the American Express security code is 4 digits.
The security code on your credit card, also known as a CVV (card verification value), is a security measure designed to prevent unauthorized purchases from being made on your account online or over the phone.
To learn more about how the security code on your credit card works, check out the credit card security code guide on WalletHub.
