WalletHub, Financial Company
@WalletHub
You can find out your auto insurance score by requesting it from LexisNexis or contacting your insurance company directly. If they don’t offer your score directly, your insurer may provide you with a reference number to use if you call LexisNexis. This will prevent a hard inquiry on your credit report, which negatively affects your credit score. The other two main sources of auto insurance scores are TransUnion and FICO, but they do not make scores available to consumers.
Keep in mind that your auto insurance score utilizes the same information as your credit score. As a result, if you have a good credit score, it’s likely that you have a high insurance score as well. On that note, you can check your latest credit score for free on WalletHub to get an idea of what your auto insurance score may be.
