AAA Plus covers 100 miles of vehicle towing per call, emergency fuel delivery, and up to $100 for vehicle lockout services. Having a AAA Plus Membership can also get you benefits like travel interruption reimbursement, lost baggage coverage, and DMV services.
AAA Plus costs between $38 and $171 per year, depending on the region. It is AAA's most popular plan, according to the company.
What AAA Plus Covers
- 100 miles of standard-vehicle towing (up to 4 times per year)
- Emergency fuel delivery
- Up to $100 in vehicle locksmith services per year
- Savings on AAA-branded car batteries (installation included)
- Discounts at AAA-approved auto repair shops
- Select DMV and notary services in AAA branches (i.e. vehicle registration, tag, and title services without waiting at the DMV)
- Optional coverage for motorcycles and RVs, depending on your state
- Lost baggage coverage. Up to $250 reimbursement for baggage lost during the rental period.
- Hertz Gold Plus Rewards membership. Membership benefits include getting to skip the counter for pick up and drop off, picking your own car, and earning points toward free rentals.
- Up to $750 in trip interruption protection. If your vehicle becomes disabled on a covered trip, AAA would reimburse you for expenses like rental car costs or hotel fees.
Typically, a roadside assistance membership is a good idea if you have an older car, you commute to work, or you generally drive long distances.
