World of Hyatt is free to join, and you can create your account online by visiting the Hyatt website. As soon as your account is created, you'll become a World of Hyatt Member and you will start earning points toward free hotel nights and enjoying all the other benefits of membership.
Basic World of Hyatt Membership Perks
Joining World of Hyatt with a free basic membership gives you benefits like access to member rate discounts, the ability to earn and redeem points, free standard internet at participating hotels, waived resort fees on award stays, and at select properties like Hyatt Place, and free breakfast for stays booked through Hyatt.com.
Earning World of Hyatt Elite Status
You can reach the lowest elite membership status level – Discoverist – by completing 10 qualifying nights, earning 25,000 base points, hosting 3 qualifying meetings or events in a calendar year, or automatically by holding The World of Hyatt Credit Card or the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card. This will give you access to perks such as a 10% bonus points on eligible spend, space-available upgrades to preferred rooms within the same category, and late checkout up to 2 p.m. upon request. Each elite status tier offers additional savings and benefits.
