American Express Global Business Travel is a company that provides administrative support for businesses that need to plan travel and set up meetings for their employees. For example, Amex GBT will help the business create efficient and cost-effective travel plans. It will also find ways to save on trips, identify safety threats, streamline booking, etc. In addition to travel services, Amex GBT helps with planning events and meetings, including booking venues and facilitating virtual conferences.
One thing to note is that American Express Global Business Travel isn’t wholly owned by Amex, despite the name. In 2014, Amex sold 50% of the ownership to an investor group.
