I complained about my $400 limit when I got the card. I’m on the road so I never use it but I got my wife and my mom cards. With gas prices high as it is I knew the card wouldn’t last through the month. That combined with 5-10 day holds on payment after its drawn from my account. I just Need a CLI but I’m not requesting one because I should have been given more in the first place. Contemplating adding my wife and mom to one of my other cards and canceling this one. Problem solved.

Got it for the discount but I closed it in a month later when pending charges stay pending after they post. Customer care is horrific and the banks way of processing transactions are shady at best.

They currently have a promo where you can get their top advantage card and save 55¢ per gallon by buying gas from their app using your advantage card. Sounds great except the catch is you can’t even ADD the card in any capacity to their app in order to earn your savings. Then they say to contact customer service who then gives you the runaround about making sure your account is set up right or making sure you’re doing it right and entering your card right. HELLO IM NOT DUMB the promo is a SCAM because they don’t allow you to add their card. Any other card is noooooo problem. Only their card.

my initial limit was $500,which is plenty for gas, however i asked for a credit increase and they raised it to $1200. 4 or 5 months later asked for a CLI and it was increased to $1200 i have had it about 1 tear 8 months, and just a few minutes ago i found out through wallet hub that the limit was decreased to $1025 which again is plenty,i have 4 gas cards and spend only $50-$60 on gas every month,it's more like a prestige that we want higher credit lines, and the same way they increase credit lines on visa and mastercard,if not used often or used once in a blue moon, they will reduce the limit, all banks have a certain limit to issue credit cards, loans, etc,,,each month and each year.it's based on that they issue credit lines depending on consumer's fico score, job.whether or not a home owner, income, and credit history.once they see that limit is getting low and have more applicants, they'll target the cards with high limits that have not been used or used only to buy inexpensive items, etc,,,so by lowering the limit on that card, they can issue a card for some one who uses it all the time, depending on how many cards you have it's very difficult to predict their decision at times that you think it's an easy approval and depending on the card you're applying sometimes it might be very difficult with some banks that are inquiry sensitive.synchrony is a great bank,if they issue you an initial limit of $3000 on lets say chevron visa, and you charge and pay on time,4 months later you could ask for a CLI and if your fico score has stayed the same or is higher, they will triple the credit line and make it $9000 however if the same card is not used periodically, they can lower the limit the same way they increased it.i believe it make sense since there is a percentage of the cards they issue will go to collections.i don't want to mention names but one of the largest banks in US,did not raise my $2500 credit line after 1 1/2 year of use because the turn down letter read i did not use the card periodically.at least synchrony triple your limit!

I read online that I could receive approval for this credit card with a 520 credit score. My score is 635 from Transunion and 655 from Equifax, so I applied for one. They denied my application for a credit card from them because they said my credit score was too low. Turkeys! Because I applied, my credit score now is 652 costing me 3 points because of this sorry card.

I received 2 Chevron/Texaco Business Mastercards, for my business, with a $1000 Limit. I was told that i could make purchases on it and pay gas. Well, when i did try to use it, they had already blocked my card, and canceled it without Ever Informing me, and said that i didn't have a Business or Address. Huh WTF???!!! Yes I DO Have Both!! Whenever i Called them, They Are Some of The Most ABSOLUTE Rudest and Hideous Individuals Ever, in Customer Service!! I Wil Make Sure To Let Everyone Know, That Chevron IS Garbage! If I Could Give Them and Their Reps a Zero, I Would!

This card is from Synchrony Bank! This bank is really a collection agency, which sends out statements that are deliberately confusing in order to get late charges added. I also have a Lowe's card which is from this bank, and the same thing happens with this card. I have had to call the bank (collection department) on at least 2 occasions to get the late charges removed because of fraudulent or (deliberately) mishandled statements. The card is useful, but the billing/collecting bank is terrible.

Please "read the reviews" and make wise decision to with whom to go for this service, this people make you believe they are there for you, but the truth is they are only looking for ways to make you fall and take advantage of you, I had to make payment thought my bank institution because they won't accept debit cards or check cards for monthly payments unless you pay every time and additional U$10.00 dollars, otherwise mail your payments which most people don’t in this time and age, they lead you to give them your checking account information, some people don't like to do this since a lot of issues in the pass with sharing your sensitive information like this is, I wouldn't recommend this services at its obvious they are not there to help you but rather look for an opportunity to take your money dishonestly if you miss a day like it happened to me, my bank posted the payment on the 29th which was a Friday and the due day was the 1st (Sunday) and they only accepted the payment on the following day the 2nd (Monday) saying that the back would take more time to process the transfer, and for that they charged me U$35.00 Late fees. Shame on them! Scams! Be aware!
