I've been looking for a gas card and I found this. I applied and when I hit the send button I got a message saying they needed more information and supplied a phone number for me to call. I tried calling the number but all I get is a recording. I tried other Exxon phone numbers but they too all give recordings and nobody to talk to. This makes the second time I applied. I should be getting some kind of communication back but it seems hopeless. The AMEX blue is a better card.

I have had this card for six years and always paid on time even through covid. I had lost my job so some bills did suffer and I was a victim of identity theft. My credit score was low 600s. I got a letter in the mail saying they were closing my account when my card expired. I called and the account was already closed. Again, I always paid my account. Customer service was rude and said they would not keep my account open. I told them they needed to re-run my credit report due to identity theft some things had been removed and score was up. They don’t care about customers just that little credit score. I am very upset about this. I never made a late payment.

I made my monthly payments through out Covid & mostly made a payment over the minimun. After 5 years they closed my account without warning. Sent me a letter the day off closing my account stating a recent review of my credit made me uneligible but I just got approved for a credit increase with Capital One. Something is fishy...

I have been trying to speak with someone to ask questions about their gas card and after spending a whole day on it, calling fifteen different numbers I gave up. They all gave a recording and no one could help. Terrible. If this is how they treat you before you are a customer I'm not sure I want to do business switch them.

I've had an exxon/mobile gas card for years. I always pay in full. I did not receive an email about my May bill so I missed my first payment.. The fees were $27 for a $38 bill. I called customer service. They refused to waive the fee and their response to me cancelling my card was "If you cancel your account you can't reopen it."

I would give them a zero if I could. I had 3 heart operations and 7 hospitalizations in 12 months. I have terminal heart disease and there is nothing more that they can do. I will say that they did wipe out late fees twice as I explained I was in the hospital. However, I must have met my quota. I don't use the card much. I had a $20 charge in mid-July. When the August bill arrived, I was in the hospital. I live in a condo complex, and somehow, the Sept. bill never made it. I paid the bill in mid October.....$20, PLUS $63 in fines and penalties....ie over 300%. When I called and explained, they simply stated that I already had 2 wiped out, but they would not do a 3rd. Legal? Yes. However, I told them that the charges were unethical and immoral. They don't care.

Worst credit card ever! They neglected to update my bank account for autopay and attempted to retrieve the payment from the incorrect bank account, resulting in a late payment. Exxon made zero attempts to contact me via phone, email, or postal mail. After numerous phone calls, they still refuse to accept responsibility and to remove the late payment. Good customer for three years. Beware.

I will say I'm distraught after the experience. Citi only has three ways to verify your identity on these applications and those three ways are not all valid to every consumer. I work hard on my credit and since I don't have an established account with Citi, or a cell phone provider they recognize, or answered the questions during the application correctly that the representative said may date my past further than I realized; I'm denied. I can't go back and review those questions to attempt to make it right. I do not have an account with them. I use cricket wireless which is unacceptable. I'm screwed! That's not fair to the consumer. I will push this issue till something is done. Provide other processes to prove identity. Will not let this rest.

Worst customer service department I have ever encountered.
I applied for and immediately approved for the card nearly two months ago and have yet to receive the physical card. Apparently the first card was lost in the mail and since then I have yet to speak with a service rep with enough competence to get a card in my hands.
I have called the customer service line so many times I have the prompts memorized and have no faith in anyone working there.
AVOID AND SAVE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION. The $0.06 off per gallon is not worth it.
