Firestone Credit Card's Additional Info
Special financing available for in-store purchases.
The Firestone Credit Card is a decent credit card for people with fair credit (640+ credit score) who need a way to save on tires, vehicle repairs or maintenance. It’s worth considering this card because there’s no annual fee, you can save 5% on your first purchase, and you can choose from a variety of money-saving offers.
It’s not going to help you too often, though, as you aren’t guaranteed to earn rewards on every purchase. It’s not the best option for financing, either, with a high regular APR and dangerous deferred-interest promotions.
What I Like About the Firestone Credit Card
$0 annual fee

Save $20 to $180+ on eligible purchases
Qualify with just fair credit
What I Don’t Like About the Firestone Credit Card

Only works at tire and auto retailers
High regular APR
Tricky financing promotions

I have had the card for a few years. I pay off the balance but opened it when I had to get four tires and work done to utilize the six months of no interest. I recently (March) used it for a purchase of over $800.00 and proceeded to pay it off. The merchandise I ordered has never arrived, it was supposed to be 7 to 10 days per receipt (now June), and the merchant kept telling me it was unusual and asked me to give them two more weeks. I agreed and told them I would dispute the charges if the merchandise was not received by May 23rd, which came and went without any communication, so I disputed the charge. Firestone called me today, over two weeks after my dispute, and informed me that they now have all the information and the credit can take up to 45 days. How can they take so much time when they have copies of my receipts, etc.? As soon as this is resolved, I will never use this card again. It was bad enough that the merchant made me wait, now my credit card company is making me wait over two months for a refund for merchandise I still have not received.

Sneakily snuck in a $3.99 fee for paper statements. Won't rescind the fee when asked. The card itself can get you discounts at Firestone, but they seem to be rather inconsistent and hard to determine.

People I want to apply for this company are incompetent; all of them don't know how to speak to customers properly. When you call, they just hang up on you, like this representative named Brandon from Customer Service, who was rude and uneducated. He actually hung up on my boyfriend on November 6, 2024, as he was in the middle of asking a simple question. No one at this company seems to know how to communicate properly. Believe me, when you call Customer Service, you will see it for yourself. They all need to be let go. If you don't know how to speak to people in customer service, then what is the purpose of having a job on the phone if you can't be respectful to others? Even when you talk to a supervisor, they are rude too. I need to speak to corporate regarding these employees.

Firestone - CFNA Bank is poor in service. The first card they issued to me was never delivered, although I monitored its dispatch through the USPS account. When I contacted them, they claimed it was "too early" to receive the card and showed reluctance to assist me. I pointed out that this could mean someone else might have taken possession of the card since it never reached me. Eventually, they conceded to canceling the missing card and issuing a new one, stating it would take about 30 days. Two months have passed and I still haven't received the card. I'm forced to pay over the phone or by mail because the card is necessary to set up the online account, and they don't list the account number on statements. Having called once more, I was told to simply wait for the elusive card. Given that I don't require the card, I am considering paying off the balance and canceling the service due to their inability to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to use any rewards, so I cannot comment on that aspect.

Worst credit card ever! They only think about themselves and not the customer. I didn't receive any online statements and they started calling me because I was late on my payment. I called customer service asking for help, trying to explain my situation and they pretty much called me a liar because they said the email was delivered. I've never had any issues with my other credit cards. I never pay late and these people didn't help me at all. I feel sad and upset.

This is the worst credit card in existence. You cannot obtain your reward unless you make a qualifying purchase at Firestone. For example, if you make a purchase at a Firestone store and accumulate enough points for a rebate, you cannot redeem those points unless you make another purchase at Firestone. Additionally, the rewards have an expiration date, so if nothing is wrong with your car and you don't need service, you will lose those points. The ironic thing is, the account says you have an award available. Stay away. I would give it 0 stars if it were possible. The program wording needs to change.

I set up my account in February of 2024 and it's now late June of 2024. Firestone is quick to demand payment, yet I have never received my Firestone card nor any account paperwork. I have no way of creating an account online to see anything I owe or have paid. No receipt verification other than a confirmation number. I've called numerous times and have been told my card is on its way, and here I am calling again after that 14 business day grace period only to find out the card was never sent. Just unacceptable.

Scam. That's all you need to know. They pull you in with all these perks, and then when you get the card, it's a heavy weight afterwards. They allow automatic payments for only six months so you can get used to automatic drafts and forget in the seventh month that you have to renew. Then they can add a $30 late fee if you are a day late. This card is not in your favor or to help you. Trust me.

Beware, worst card ever. They get you in with a credit limit. After a few months they raise it if you pay on time. I missed my payment by 5 days (after a year of on time payments) and they dropped my credit limit by half with no warning and of course the usual high interest and late payment. It's a scam... You think you have credit, they secretly get you to go over the limit to charge you more and keep you indebted and paying high interest... Cutting this card up ASAP.....
