The worst insurance I could have ever obtained. They charged me a large sum of money for only two cars and levied $4,000 in one month, which they did not refund. They withdrew the money from my bank without my permission, simply because I had automatic payments set up. Their excuse was that since my daughter resided in my house, they included her in my insurance, despite her having her own insurance and car. How can they add someone without inquiring and just take your money like that?

I do not recommend this company at all. I never signed any documents to move forward with their services. I called to cancel just three days after the initial contact—on the next business day—and was told their computer system was down. The representative advised me to dispute the charges with my bank, which I did. I called again to confirm the cancellation and explained to multiple representatives that I never officially proceeded with their services. Despite this, I've continued to receive letters from them every month, and now they're threatening to send me to collections for money I do not owe. They keep asking for my insurance info which is none of their business. This experience has been extremely frustrating. The representatives are unhelpful, and the entire process feels like a scam. Stay away from this company.

My wife had an accident on March 3, 2025, with a driver insured by Dairyland Insurance and Viking Insurance Company of Wisconsin. This was only our second accident caused by another driver. It was the worst experience I could imagine. There were multiple emails, phone calls, and text messages, almost all unnecessary. Finally, after everything was done, we ended up paying for our own rental while our car was being repaired. The hassle of dealing with these people was just too much. If you have Dairyland as your insurance company, I suggest finding another company before you need them. If you are considering acquiring insurance, I would strongly discourage using this company.

My son had SR-22 insurance with Dairyland and made his payments on time every month. He ended up in an accident and waited a month to hear something from them. Once he filed a claim, every time he would call, it would send him straight to the claims voicemail. He finally got a letter today telling him that he isn't covered because he doesn't own his car (he makes monthly payments as most of us do) and because he was driving. I guess they are saying he was only covered if he was parked and someone hit his car. This company is a scam! They take your money every month but don't want to pay up if you get into an accident. His car is totaled, and the car company keeps calling. Of course, the other driver is claiming medical damages and they told his insurance that my son didn't have insurance. Why was he paying almost 200 a month for liability insurance plus some extra accident insurance for them to not cover him in an accident? I have contacted the BBB. Now I'm contacting an attorney. We will take this all the way to court if needed. Driving with insurance makes you feel safe, knowing you are covered in case of an accident, then to go through this! It's ridiculous! Take your money and go elsewhere before it's you writing a post just like this.

I've had Dairyland insurance for 9 months. When it came time to renew, I didn't because they significantly increased the price. I received a renewal notice saying if I didn't pay, it would be canceled. I purchased a new insurance policy with Progressive a day prior to my insurance cancellation. They decided on their own to renew my policy without my consent. After telling them to cancel my policy, they refused and emailed me saying they need proof of my new policy. I emailed them back with my information, then they asked for a declaration page, and to sign a cancellation form, which is unnecessary as I never renewed. Once I sent in the declaration page, they proceeded to tell me they didn't backdate it and I owe them $1,224. That's absurd. They won't be getting a dime out of me. Save your money and go elsewhere. This insurance company is a rip off.

I was the passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident and was not able to work. Everything was fine for the first 3 months, paying bills with the money we had saved. I called Dairyland to see if I could change my due date by just ten days, which was my wife's payday. My car loan people were okay with it, the cellphone company made the change for us, and my landlord has been very understanding helpful. But Dairyland did not want to hear it at all. By law, we have 8 days before they cancel coverage and registration through the MVD. They informed me that I'd have to start a new policy, do a new down payment, and pay the MVD to renew my registration. If I didn't have it paid by noon on the 8th day after the bill was due, I explained my situation and only asked for 2 days. They were so rude to me and would not work with me whatsoever. When it comes time to renew, I'm definitely looking for a different insurance company. I would not recommend these guys to anybody. So if anyone knows a insurance company who has competitive rates and half-way decent customer service let me know God bless

I filed a claim with Dairyland for the broken windshield of my vehicle, and they informed me that I have to pay a deductible of $1,000, and they would cover the remainder. The replacement of the windshield costs $1,022, so they would only pay $22. I wonder why I have full coverage? I made a mistake and regret insuring my cars with Dairyland.

Kendra J is a supervisor with whom I had spoken; she took no accountability for her employee giving misinformation. The employee stated that my payment for my new car, which I had just bought, wouldn't be due until March, and there was proof of this in the call recording. This morning, my phone kept blowing up with text messages stating that my insurance was canceled due to lack of payment. She gave me the routine apology, saying, "I'm sorry, but there is nothing I can do." With that being said, they lost a customer. Do not get insurance through Dairyland.

Worst insurance company in the world. Spend the extra money and get better insurance. I own a 2019 Audi RS5, a car worth 100k, yet their drivers don't have enough coverage for accidents. Even when you file a claim under your own insurance, they are more than willing to dodge windshield repairs, which for my car is 3k. They're also reluctant to approve even essential repairs like fixing a wheel to make the car drivable. It's back and forth with them—their claims department is terrible and will literally toss you around from representative to representative to avoid approving additional supplements on your claim. Invest your money wisely, ignore the temptation to save money, and go with an insurance company that cares about getting your car repaired, not just filling their pockets.

It deeply pains me that I have to give Dairyland Insurance Company a star at all. Dairyland Insurance will pass you around from person to person and won't answer many questions. You'll leave many voicemails and not get calls returned. Dairyland has a group of accusers and liars working for them, and it's awkward because they're adults. I was in a car accident in my own lane and was hit by one of their drivers, and they told me it was my fault for not giving their driver enough distance. I didn't know they were there; they just hit me trying to cut me off. My insurance company said that when the other driver needs to merge over, they have to make sure there's a clear distance. Therefore, it was the other driver's fault. Dairyland workers will literally tell you lies over the phone. It was astounding. I've never really experienced adult liars before, so this was jaw-dropping. That over three different human beings working for them would tell lies, even though they weren't even at the accident, is shocking. I definitely wouldn't trust them, and I don't know how they haven't been reported to the Better Business Bureau by now. This insurance company will take money and go out of their way not to pay. I would not trust them as an insurance company. I've noticed they had so many bad reviews that they'll probably go on there sooner or later and take all your money with them.

The worst and most disreputable insurance company I've ever encountered in my life. I was involved in a collision with a deer on October 14, 2023, which made my truck immobile, along with deployed airbags and locked seatbelts. Weeks went by with no communication from the adjuster. After the appraiser had come and gone, I reached out myself and the adjuster, Jill Jacobs, was extremely unprofessional and showed no concern for their customer. She prolonged the process for over 6 weeks, even though I submitted every piece of evidence and proof of the accident, including photos and videos, as well as the contact information of the person who helped me remove the vehicle from the roadway. She failed to make any effort to contact witnesses or even review the evidence I submitted. She relied solely on her assumption that the collision occurred before my policy was renewed, 4 or 5 days prior to the accident, despite the fact that the photos I submitted clearly showed the time and date. Even after my father, who was a witness, finally spoke to her after 6 entire weeks and vouched for the situation, she decided to stick with her assumption and deny my claim. Here I am, paying $350 per month for services that aren't being provided when needed, and I'm left with $15,000 worth of damage to my vehicle. I spoke with attorneys, but because the holidays were near, little help was available. Save yourself the trouble, headache, and financial loss, and look for a better insurance provider. Companies like Dairyland and Sentry should be held accountable for any wrongdoing against their consumers and have their licenses revoked. They are fraudulent to the absolute core. Unfortunately, I had to give them one star to submit this review; otherwise, it would have been a negative zero.

I was overcharged for 5 months for an accident that was not my fault. I would hate to be a young family trying to afford that. They would not reimburse me and I am glad I never had to file a claim. I told the agent that I never had any at fault accidents in the last 3 years. Evidently, I did but it was a mistake by someone in the processing of the claim. I had it corrected and sent them the documents. They still kept nearly 400$ from me. The insurance I had before them never charged me. Probably because they knew it was incorrect. They had an opportunity to keep me as a longtime client. However, as soon as I realized they didn't care about the situation, I canceled. I would not recommend this company. There is no reason to keep that money from me. You are crooks in my eyes. If my bank or mortgage company did that, they would reimburse me. I am sure this review will be handled in the same manner. Times are tough and they must need the money more than a 57 year old veteran.

Yes, Dairyland does offer non-owner SR-22 insurance. You are unable to reinstate your license without auto insurance.
You rent cars regularly.
You frequently use car-sharing services.
You want to maintain continuous coverage to prevent future premium increases.
