My policy was cancelled because I tried to pay my bill in two payments. First one for 100. Two weeks later for 76.99. I was later informed by safe auto that two checks were mailed on August 10th and on August 17th. I didn't get either check because my address was not complete in their system. So the mail carrier didn't know which apartment the checks were going to. I did receive both checks yesterday on September 12 only to find out that 54.03. Is missing from one check. They told me it was 26 dollars to change my address. So what about the rest of the money. I'd like to start a class action lawsuit let's all band together and get justice for ourselves lookup #classactionlawsuitsafeauto on Facebook

boy what a nightmare with this company. I paid a 6-month premium and they claim my check balance but I paid with a credit card. then they tried charging me and NSF fee for a credit card that went through and a reinstatement fee. I paid for a 6-month premium in full with a credit card. this company is geared towards poor people and people with bad credit that have to pay month it is very basic insurance and is completely irresponsible in billing and communication I would stay away from this company if you can

This is the company is a sorry excuse for a insurance company took two weeks to get the claim going then car rental we have been lied to and been like pulling teeth July the 19 of 2022 and still trying to resolve this I will never use this company or recommend them at all don’t use them

The absolute worst car insurance company I've had in 35 years of driving. This is not an overtly, exaggerated claim...literally the worse nightmarish experience of all insurance entities. I've had an open claim for 3 months for an attempted theft, which amounted to three windows with damage nothing major). I've given 3 recorded statements to three different adjusters, and had one visit by an appraiser only to receive a letter two days ago stating they need a (another) recorded statement, as they have no record of the prior "THREE"...absolutely ridiculous and like living in an episode of "The Twilight Zone". Just decided to write this review as I approach my 22nd minute of being on hold to speak to someone in their hideous firm. STAY AWAY!

WORST customer service EVER experienced. Put a claim in three weeks ago-was told I do not get to choose where I take my car for an estimate, despite the Indiana law that states otherwise, then was asked to "release" my vehicle to an undisclosed location....because that seems legit? When I would not allow them to remove my car from the current body shop that it was at, they simply refused to do anything. Due to them not doing anything with my claim, I gave in after a week. A week of them REFUSING to go to the body shop it was at and look at it. They tow the car, and don't tell me where they've taken it. After trying for two days, I finally reach 'my assigned agent', who tells me it's at a salvage yard....yet I've been given no information as to what the damage has come to from them. It's been taken to salvage, even though not one time have I been told the car is totaled.... Filed my claim on the 6th of June, 18 days later, I have no further information.
Oh, and when they were asked for 2 weeks straight to send a certificate of compliance to the BMV, I was actually told BY a supervisor that it was MY fault that it wasn't recieved by the BMV, because I did not provide accurate information....SO if you want to make monthly payments to be treated like dirt, THIS IS YOUR GO TO! THEY WILL NOT disappoint in that area. In fact that is one thing I promise you they EXCELL IN! They truly go the extra mile to let you know how much money you've wasted, and how very little they care whether or not they are providing good service. Highly recommend if you desire EXTREME frustration in your life, or just blatant disrespect in general!!!

Give them a zero .If ur reading this go somewhere else I made a extra payment thru PayPal credit card and they said they never received it, dec.2021I'm continuing fighting them on this matter and showed all my proof and still got screwed out 186.66 ,I wouldn't want this to happen to no one else.so choice someone else. Thank you .I'll be made a complaint with the better business burial.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They even charge you a fee to cancel insurance.Their policies are not worth the paper they are written on. I will never do business with them again. I selected one star because the system would not let select no stars. There is not one good thing about this company.

Horrible horrible horrible! I am very dissatisfied with this company, they do not make it easy for you. I have a claim from having an accident and it has been a horrible experience. Would i recommend Safe Auto to anyone I know? That would be a big NOT ON YOUR LIFE. Just disgusting.

I was paying twice a month because they kept saying its a late few although I paid ahead of time then they send you these emails to make you think if you dont pay your policy will be cancelled. worst insurance company ever, i was told i couldn’t cancel my insurance when ask to speak with a manager i was told “ the manager would say the same thing” i then was placed on hold and never got to speak with anyone called again and told them they were being recored, and thats when they proceed to help me cancel my policy. I was told the payment was 23 dollars then, placed on hold and he came back and said i have to pay 100 to cancel at that point i did not care i wanted out of that insurance

I wish I could give them NEGATIVE stars. A driver insured by safeauto hit our vehicle and the company is refusing to pay the claim. We were forced to file a complaint with the better business Bureau. This company should be shut down! We have also filed a complaint against them in the state of illinois. I have read MANY reviews like mine. Please file complaints against them if you are also dealing with this. Hopefully this will end in a class action lawsuit to stop them from the fraud they are continuing to take part in.

If there was a no star rating that's what they would get! In my 43 years of driving I have had my worst experience with them! They refuse to pay a claim and put their customers in a real bind! I have full coverage and lost my car to theft and they will not pay! I wish I had never used their services!!!

Well in reading the reviews here it appears that it's unanimous. This is the #1 worst company around. They are absolutely horrible and will not pay a claim unless you file litigation against them. Their insured hit me and they refused to respond to any correspondence after the claim was filed. Horrible people. Horrible company. They should be banned and shut down.

Should be in the negative star zone. They act ok but they won't ever call. If you want insurance that won't pay their claims this is where to go. Waste of money entirely. Ads run like crazy stay away from them

I had insurance with them for less then 1 month. First time talking to them it was a woman who didn't really understand English and I answered all her questions truthfully. She said it would be $150 monthly for insurance. 10 days later we get an email saying the insurance is now $230 and an extra $50 saying I withheld information. I told her everything and even told this guy who is also having issues understanding me. My husband later calls them because of another amount that popped up out of nowhere and this person is talking in such broken English we can barely understand them. They say that we never had him added on the policy. They seemed to only add what they wanted and they even added money because of our credit score?? This is nuts. We are still getting phone calls from them even though we canceled the policy. Definitely going back to Geico since I had no issues with them. If the company is in the USA why are they outsourcing?! This is ridiculous.
