This card is easy to use with no fees.. plus it helps you with your credit score...I would recommend it for someone who has a hard time getting a credit card....
This self card is a pretty good card. I have had a wonderful time saving and building my credit score. I would suggest the Self Credit Card to all of my family and friends.
I purchased a prefab home in February 2, 2023, but never received a clear title until August of 2023. This mortgage was a comedy of errors from the start. In July, it was discovered that the bank had erroneously failed to add the sales tax to my mortgage. The tax was approx. $3300. There is no way I can come up with that amount of money. I was told by Art Leary that either the bank would absorb it, but that wasn’t so. They put a lien on my house and now I get a bill for an overdue $903.66 for a loan for which I never received any paperwork on. This bank screwed up a simple loan on a $55,000 prefab home. Sloppy paper work and a multitude of errors. None of which were my fault. The manager who handled this was Stephany Brown and Art Leary. I should never have used this bank

7 years ago I moved my personal and business accounts to their Irby Street Florence SC branch. It was great, they actually made you feel like a valued customer. That feeling has greatly diminished over they last two years to the point that you feel like you are burdening them by just walking in the door. They honestly don't care about their customers any longer. They treat you like crap once your so entrenched in them financially and know the burden it takes to move to another bank. I'll be working to move my accounts ASAP. Save yourself the the pain and skip this bank from the start. The friendly service is reserved for the new customers and the manager is rude and intolerable.

Excellent good customer service ? ? great card helps build credit if anyone seeking to have good credit I would recommend this card
I have had my mortgage loan through them since January of 2013. I have had issues every single year for the last 3 years with this loan. They don't know how to properly allocate money & it takes months for them to fix the issue. The loan department is a joke, no help, & completely rude. I highly recommend you save yourself the headache & take your business elsewhere. I will be refinancing my house through a different company as soon as possible.

It’s a good start up. Card helps improve credit and his benefit. The only bad part is that it doesn’t increase your credit limit, unless you have more money to store a new account with them to increase your limit.
My issue is with South State in Lagrange/West Point GA area. I bought some things from a merchant, and when the merchant sent in the final debit charge, the bank did not reconcile the authorization to the charge, and left the authorization on my account. On two items, one of which was returned. The authorization for both purchases remained on my account even after the debits cleared. In essence, a $300 item turned into $900. (This isn't the first time this has happened, either). When I contacted the bank via secure message, one person told me I had to wait (she obviously did not even check the account), and another person, by the name of "Beverly", rudely told me to get a letter from the merchant on company letterhead, signed by a company representative, stating they would not submit a charge. I simply told her that the debit had already cleared, and that the bank simply failed to clear the authorization, (the final debit cleared 4 days before), she just seemed as if she couldn't' be bothered, and acted as if it was "my problem", not theirs. I have used this bank for a long time, many years, and have never had such nonsense until the last couple months. I will no longer trust this bank with my money, and am shifting my finances to other banks. I strongly suggest you bank elsewhere, they simply don't care about their customers. They are rude and unprofessional, you're better off with another bank, or keeping you cash under your mattress.

The South State Bank located in Raleigh, NC has an employee by the name of Lisa who is a very very RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL INDIVIDUAL!!! I went into the bank to cash a check and when she looked at the check she turned up her nose and continued to give me problems and didn’t attempt to even verify the check. I called the law firm in which it came from and went back in an automatically she had an attitude and was not trying to hear me. I ended up speaking to another employee who was very professional and helped me and was able to verify it with no problem. I am absolutely disgusted with the service that Lisa gave to me and the nasty looks and turning up her nose and rolling her eyes. I wouldn’t recommend this branch simply because of her and her ways. I wish I could give zero stars
