Yes, the Delta Reserve Credit Card does offer cell phone insurance. The Delta Reserve Credit Card gives cardholders up to $800 per claim to repair or replace a damaged or stolen phone, if they charge their phone bill to the card every month.
The maximum coverage amount is $1,600 per year (two claims per card account per year), and there is a $50 deductible. Delta Reserve Credit Card cell phone protection does not cover rented, borrowed or prepaid phones. It doesn't cover lost phones or cosmetic damage, either.
How to Use Delta Reserve Credit Card Cell Phone Protection
- Check if you have other applicable coverage. American Express only offers secondary cell phone insurance. You’ll have to exhaust any other coverage you might have before making a cell phone insurance claim with the Delta Reserve Credit Card.
- Notify the Benefit Administrator within 90 days of the incident by calling 1 (833) 784-1467.
- Submit the required documents within 120 days of the incident. These documents include your eligible card account statement reflecting the monthly payments for the month before your phone was stolen or damaged, a copy of your current cell phone service provider’s billing statement, and any other requested documents.
- Wait for a decision. The Benefit Administrator will notify you as soon as your claim has been processed.
Eligibility and benefit level varies by card. Terms, conditions and limitations apply. Please visit americanexpress.com/benefitsguide for more details. Underwritten by New Hampshire Insurance Company, an AIG Company.
