The Platinum Card® rental truck insurance covers cardholders for up to $75,000 in collision damage and theft for vehicles rented with the card or American Express rewards points. Box trucks, trucks that weigh 10k+ lbs., or modified vehicles (except for handicapped accessibility) are not covered.
To get Platinum Card® rental truck insurance coverage, you must pay for the entire rental with the card, and decline the rental agency’s supplemental insurance policy. To make an insurance claim, call (800) 338-1670 within 30 days of a covered incident, or as soon as reasonably possible. You can also file a claim online.
Before you rent a truck with your Platinum Card®, you should take some time to read through the benefits guide. It will give you full information.

@nathan_preston is WRONG. I just calledy Amex Platinum and they state verbatim that moving vans and cargo box trucks offered by companies such as UHAUL are NOT covered. Never trust anybody.
