You can get cash back with your Bank of America® Travel Rewards credit card when you redeem your points. The cash back redemption options are worth 0.6-1 cent per point. These redemption options include paper checks, Bank of America deposit-account credits, statement credits to cover travel-related purchases and gift cards.
How to Redeem Your Bank of America Travel Rewards credit card for Cash Back
- Online: Log in to your online account, select the Bank of America Travel Rewards credit card, and click on the ‘Rewards’ tab. This tab will show your points balance. Click on ‘Redeem Points’.
- Through the mobile app: Download the mobile app and log in to your Bank of America Travel Rewards credit card account. Then, tap on “View my Rewards” to redeem your points for cash back.
- Over the phone: Call (888) 268-7800, enter your credit card number, and follow the automated prompts to connect to a customer service representative.
Although the Bank of America Travel Rewards credit card does not directly give cash back, the points that you’ll earn from making purchases are not all that different. Rewards points, just like cash back, are a form of currency, and they can be pretty valuable when redeemed in certain ways. For example, redeeming Bank of America Travel Rewards credit card points for travel-related expenses gets you a value of 1 cent per point.
If you want a card that earns cash back directly, apply for the Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards credit card, instead.
