You can pre-qualify for Amex Blue Cash Everyday on American Express’s website. First, fill in your name and home address. Then, input the last 4 digits of your Social Security number, your total annual income and your non-taxable annual income. Finally, click “View My Card Offers.”
Pre-qualification allows people to see their approval odds for American Express cards before applying. Amex’s tool will show a list of all the cards a person has high approval odds for, which may include Amex Blue Cash Everyday. If Amex Blue Cash Everyday appears in the list, you’ll be able to click a link to apply for it. Checking for Amex Blue Cash Everyday pre-approval will not impact your credit because Amex will only do a soft pull of your credit.
It is also worth noting that, when you apply for the Amex Blue Cash Everyday, a soft inquiry will be made on your credit report and you will be told with certainty if you are approved. However, if you choose to accept the offer afterward, Amex will do a hard pull, which may result in a small drop in your credit score.*
*This application experience is currently available for individuals applying for a U.S. personal card via WalletHub, on the American Express site, or by calling American Express and is not available if you apply for a card after you log into an existing Card Member Account.
