The best Capital One credit card for teens is the Capital One Platinum Credit Card because it has a $0 annual fee and is designed for people with little or no credit history. However, an applicant must be at least 18 years old with proof of an independent income before they can open a credit card account in their own name.
Other good Capital One credit cards for teens who qualify include Capital One QuicksilverOne Cash Rewards Credit Card, which offers 5% cash back on hotels, vacation rentals and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel, as well as 1.5% cash back on all other purchases, but charges a $39 annual fee. For teens who are students, the Capital One Savor Student Cash Rewards Credit Card has a $0 annual fee and gives 5% cash back on hotels, vacation rentals and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel, 3% cash back at grocery stores (excluding superstores like Walmart® and Target®), on dining, entertainment and popular streaming services, along with 1% back on all other purchases (except for 8% back on Capital One Entertainment purchases). And, the Capital One Platinum Secured Credit Card has a credit limit of at least $200 with a fully refundable security deposit as low as $49. You can raise your credit limit with additional deposits. The Capital One Platinum Secured card also has a $0 annual fee.
