No, Chase is not an American Airlines partner. This means you cannot transfer Ultimate Rewards points to the American Airlines AAdvantage loyalty program. However, there are a number of Chase credit cards that offer rewards for booking American Airlines flights. Just keep in mind that with most of these cards you are required to book your flight through the Chase Travel portal to earn additional rewards.

Chase is not an American Airlines partner meaning you cannot transfer points directly to American Airlines, of which you can only do if you have a travel/Sapphire card like the Chase Sapphire Reserve or Chase Sapphire Preferred (or severeal business cards). You can still book American Airlines flights through the Chase travel portal if you find the flights and prices you want.
Typically, if you have a Sapphire card, you can more bang for your buck if you transfer to travel partners (actual airlines), typically. For American Airlines flights you would need to find partner airlines that might show your AA flight such as British Airways. If you find your American Airlines flight on British Airways (via codesharing) then you can transfer Chase points to British airways to book that American Airlines flight. Typically best to call and make sure they flight is available or search online before actually transferring points.
