Chase Sapphire Reserve charges an authorized user fee is $75 per person, per year. The fee applies to each authorized user the primary cardholder adds to their Chase Sapphire Reserve account, and there is no limit to the number of authorized users allowed. This fee is much lower than the standard annual fee for the account, which rings in at $795.
Chase Sapphire Reserve Authorized User Benefits
- Authorized user purchases count toward the $6,000 spending requirement in the first 3 months of account opening to qualify for Chase Sapphire Reserve’s initial bonus of 125,000 points.
- Qualifying purchases made by authorized users also counts toward the card’s $300 annual travel credit.
- Authorized users can also earn 1 - 8 points per $1, depending on the type of purchase.
- Chase Sapphire Reserve users are eligible for the card’s Priority Pass airport lounge membership as well as its travel benefits, such as trip cancellation protection.
It is worth mentioning that authorized users do not get a separate $300 yearly travel credit or their own TSA PreCheck/Global Entry fee credit. Plus, only the primary cardholder can redeem any rewards earned.
