The biggest disadvantage of the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card is that it is available to people with at least good credit, which means the average person may struggle to qualify. There are a few other disadvantages of the Capital One Venture to be aware of, too.
Capital One Venture Disadvantages
- Available to high credit scores: The Capital One Venture is available to applicants with at least good credit.
- Annual fee: The annual fee is $95.
- No 0% intro APR on purchases: The Capital One Venture does not currently offer a 0% intro APR promotion on purchases, so it is not good for people looking to finance big purchases.
- No 0% intro balance transfer APR: There is no introductory 0% APR on balance transfers.
In addition, there are plenty of potential disadvantages applicable to all or most credit cards. Some examples are the hard credit pull that usually happens when you apply, interest charged on balances that are carried from month to month, and the potential to overspend.
