No, you don't need an invitation to apply or get approved for the Mastercard® Black Card. Pre-approval offers do drastically improve your odds, but approval is never 100% guaranteed. As long as you meet their requirements you should be able to get approved.
Mastercard® Black Card Requirements for Approval
- At least good credit (700+ credit score recommended)
- U.S. residency
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Enough income to afford the card's $699 annual fee and monthly payments
Unfortunately, the issuer does not specify any income requirements, but the more you earn and the less your debt is, increases your chances of getting approved. If you're not tied to Mastercard you can check our editors' picks for the most exclusive credit card.
