No, everyone does not get approved for the Walmart Credit Card, as it requires at least fair credit and enough income to afford minimum monthly payments. But if you don't qualify for the Walmart Credit Card, you will be automatically considered for the Walmart® Store Card, which may be easier to get. Both cards are issued by Capital One.
Unlike the Walmart Credit Card, which is on the Mastercard network, the Walmart® Store Card is not backed by any major credit card network. That means the Walmart® Store Card can only be used for online and in-store purchases at Walmart, along with some of its affiliates, such as Sam’s Club and Murphy USA gas stations.
That being said, if you do end up getting the Walmart® Store Card and use it responsibly, you might in time become eligible for the Walmart Credit Card. According to online reports, some Walmart® Store Card cardholders receive offers to upgrade to the Walmart Credit Card from Capital One.
