Yes, you may be able to downgrade your Chase Sapphire Reserve card and keep the number, but it's not guaranteed. Some cardholders have reported being able to keep their Chase Visa card number after switching to another Chase Visa card, yet your experience may be different.
Keep in mind that even if you do get to keep your number after downgrading, certain card info may still change, like your expiration date or CVV. Also, if you downgrade to a Chase Mastercard, like the Chase Freedom Flex® Credit Card, then your card number will change, since the same number cannot exist on two different networks.
If you’re interested in keeping your Chase Sapphire Reserve card number after downgrading, you can let a representative know, and they should be able to review the available options with you.
