A pending charge usually stays on your credit card account for five business days.
Several factors affect how long will a charge stay pending, like when you made the transaction or the merchant's processing time.
Pending charges immediately reduce your available balance. Even though the merchant hasn't charged you yet, the amount you owe will still be deducted from your available balance. It will remain like this until the purchase has been processed by the merchant.
Hi Robin, Thanks for replying. Here’s my situation, I had an air conditioner installed the 17th of July. As of today the charge is still pending. Did I just get a free AC? Having it pending has no impact on my spending with that card as it was a card I opened specifically with the bank for their business to purchase the AC I treat free for 12 months. Just to give you more information so that you could possibly better answer my question?? Thx
