How to Activate a Bank of America Credit Card
- By phone: Call 800-276-9939 or the number on the sticker attached to the front of the card. Verify your personal information (e.g., Social Security number, card number, or phone number associated with your application) to activate your card.
- On the website: Log in to your Bank of America account (or create an account if you don’t already have one) and find the activation page. Enter any requested security information, including your Social Security number and the last six digits of your new card number. Activate your card as instructed.
- Via the mobile app: Log in to the Bank of America mobile app using the same credentials that you’d use to log in online. Tap the credit card activation button, then enter any security information that’s requested on the following page.
