Yes, the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card does have travel insurance benefits, the best of which are baggage delay insurance and trip delay reimbursement. To be eligible to file a travel insurance claim, you’ll need to pay for your travel using your Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card.
Types of Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card Travel Insurance
- Trip delay insurance: This benefit reimburses you for necessary expenses, such as a hotel room, if your trip is delayed for more than 12 hours or more.
- Baggage delay insurance: If your baggage arrives over 6 hours late to your destination, you’re covered for essentials that you purchase because of the delay.
- Lost/damaged baggage insurance: If your luggage is lost or stolen, you can get reimbursed for the contents of the luggage up to $3,000.
- Emergency evacuation and transportation insurance: If you become sick or injured during a trip and need to be evacuated, you can get reimbursed for the medical services and transportation costs up to a specified dollar amount.
- Travel accident insurance: This insurance covers you in the event of death or dismemberment during transit.
- Rental car insurance: This benefit covers you against damage to the rental vehicle that results from a collision or theft.
Exclusions and coverage limits apply to many of these benefits, so make sure to check your Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card’s guide to benefits for more details on each type of insurance.

Sorry, been researching this for days and Boundless does NOT have the trip cancellation insurance. I'm bummed since I wanted to move from the Bonvoy Signature card (which has trip cancellation) to Boundless but REALLY WANT the cancellation option (I had to use it once in the past). I'm bummed that is does NOT have that benefit (talked to several CSRs and benefits people at Chase and also read their website comparisons of cards.)
