You needed a credit score of at least 700 to get the PayPal Extras Mastercard. This means at least good credit was required for approval. However, the PayPal Extras Mastercard is no longer available to new applicants.
If you’re looking for a similar card, you should consider getting the PayPal Cashback Mastercard®, instead. This card offers 3% cash back on PayPal purchases and 1.5% back on all other purchases.
The PayPal Cashback Mastercard® requires at least fair credit (a credit score of 640+) for approval. If you’d like to know where you stand, you can check your credit score for free, right here on WalletHub.

I was able to get one with a score of a little more than 600.

I got a PayPal mastercard with only a little over 600 credit score. They only gave me $600. But the regular PayPal credit gave me $1800.

I just got a $700 credit limit and my score is 658. I think it depends on your payment history with synchrony bank. I have several store credit cards through them so the know my habits. I will use and pay off the next week or so.
