Yes, you can rent a car with your Secured Chime® Credit Builder Visa® Credit Card. Just keep in mind that you need to have enough available credit to cover the hold the rental agency will put on your card.
That's why secured cards aren't the best option for car rentals, considering their lower-than-average credit limits. Instead, you can use an unsecured credit card, or choose a payment method that doesn't involve a credit card.

No... Majority car rental companies don't accept the Credit builder for the initial pick up..

At Houston Airport, we could NOT use Chime visa to rent from Dollar, Thrifty, Budget, Hertz, or Enterprise. Only Sixt would work with us using Chime
Interesting. A few weeks ago, Sixt in Indianapolis (non-airport) would not accept my chime credit builder card, even though it accepted it and ran the authorization when I made the reservation online and I explained that it’s not a debit card. They said it is a company-wide policy and that they only accept credit cards from banks that have physical branch locations (seems very arbitrary)

I just rented a car from Enterprise this weekend, at the end of my transaction I was told “for future reference we don't accept Chime” since I was basically done he let me use it this time.
