No, you cannot get an USAA® Secured American Express® Card credit limit increase. According to customer service, credit limit increases are not available for this card. This means that after you’ve paid your initial deposit and the account is open, your credit limit stays locked in for the duration of the account. So, if you want a high credit limit, you should try to deposit as much as you can before opening your USAA® Secured American Express® Card account.
If you can’t pay a hefty initial deposit but would still like to get a credit limit increase later on, then consider applying for the Bank of America® Unlimited Cash Rewards Secured Credit Card, instead. After you pay the initial deposit (min $200), you can always add more money to it later on, in order to increase your credit limit.
