The Wells Fargo Cash Wise credit score requirement is 700 or higher. Applicants generally need good or excellent credit to be approved. That doesn’t mean every single applicant with a credit score of 700+ will be accepted and everyone with a credit score under 700 will be rejected. Wells Fargo takes numerous other factors into account when determining approval, such as the applicant’s annual income, housing status and employment status.
A person with a good credit score might be held back by a low income, and someone with a credit score slightly under 700 might be approved if they have a high income, for example. There are anecdotal reports of people getting approved for the Wells Fargo Cash Wise card with credit scores in the mid-600s. But you should take these with a grain of salt. To maximize your chances of approval, you shouldn’t apply until your score is at least 700, or unless you get preapproved.
By the way, most other Wells Fargo credit cards also require good credit, aside from a few store cards. Wells Fargo used to offer a secured card for rebuilding credit but it’s no longer open to new applicants.

You generally need good credit (i.e. a score of at least 700) to get the Wells Fargo Cash Wise credit card.
But keep in mind that other variables such as employment status and existing debt obligations will also be considered.

I was able to get a starting CL of 5500 at a WH score of 668. I also only had two months of credit history. Although I have heard neomerous reports that having a bank account with them will help and that they take into account your assets in their bank accounts and your spending habits. I had roughly 16000 in my savings and checking account with under 1000 in monthly expenses.

This was my second credit card, I have a discover secured card for 2 months with a 1000 dollar limit. My vantage credit score was in the low 600s, checking back 620 to 650 depending on the company. When I applied for thus card I received instant approval and a starting limit of 5500. I had regularly had around 10000 in my wells Fargo accounts for the previous year or two and I applied in person at my local branch. They told me that they take into account bank account history. However, I now have a Fico of 750+ and have yet to receive a credit increase on this card.
